Crispy Parmesan Crusted Potatoes (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 500g small potatoes (~1 lb)
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 25g unsalted butter
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon dried parsley
06 - ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
07 - ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
08 - ⅓ tablespoon sea salt
09 - ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
10 - ½ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F).
02 - Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly without removing the skin. Slice each potato lengthwise and score the cut surface.
03 - In a small bowl, combine olive oil, butter, garlic powder, dried parsley, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, sea salt and crushed red pepper.
04 - Transfer the potatoes to a large bowl and pour the garlic butter marinade over them. Toss thoroughly until each potato is fully coated.
05 - Line a baking tray with parchment paper and lightly grease it. Generously sprinkle grated Parmesan over the surface.
06 - Press the cut side of each potato into the remaining Parmesan cheese and place them skin side up on the baking tray. Ensure the tray isn't overcrowded. Brush with any leftover garlic butter.
07 - Bake in the middle rack at 220°C (430°F) for 25-30 minutes until the potatoes are soft inside and the cheese has formed a golden crust. Adjust baking time based on potato size.
08 - Remove from oven and let rest for 4-5 minutes. Turn over all potatoes, garnish with fresh parsley or chives, and add additional sea salt if desired.

# Handy Tips:

01 - The scoring on the potatoes helps them absorb more of the flavorful seasoning and creates more surface area for the Parmesan crust to develop.
