Grilled Cheese Beef Burrito (Print-Friendly Version)

Cheesy burrito filled with beef, rice, and zesty sauces, finished with a golden grilled cheese crust.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Main Components

01 - 16 ounces ground beef
02 - 1 packet taco seasoning mix
03 - 1 cup cooked white rice
04 - 1/2 cup sour cream
05 - 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
06 - 1/4 cup chipotle sauce
07 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
08 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
09 - 4 large flour tortillas
10 - Butter or oil for grilling

# How to Make It:

01 - Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain excess grease, incorporate taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water, then simmer for 5 minutes.
02 - Briefly warm tortillas on a dry skillet over medium heat or in the microwave until soft and pliable.
03 - Lay each tortilla flat. Spread a portion of white rice, then a layer of seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, chipotle sauce, and sour cream. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella evenly over the fillings.
04 - Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons shredded cheese directly onto the skillet where the burrito will sit. Place the assembled burrito seam-side down over the cheese. Grill until the cheese forms a golden, crisp crust, about 3 to 4 minutes. Flip and repeat on the second side until both are crisp.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For best texture, reheat on the stovetop. Customize with black beans, jalapeños, or substitute chicken for beef. To make it vegan, use dairy-free cheese and plant-based filling.
