01 -
Slice each chicken breast horizontally to produce four even steaks. Season both sides evenly with salt and black pepper.
02 -
Place flour in a shallow dish. Dredge each chicken steak in flour, shaking off any excess.
03 -
Heat a large skillet over high heat and melt most of the butter, reserving about 1 teaspoon. Add the chicken and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until golden on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 1 minute.
04 -
Reduce heat to medium-high. Create space in the skillet and add minced garlic along with the reserved butter teaspoon. Stir briefly until fragrant and the butter melts.
05 -
Incorporate apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and honey into the pan. Stir or gently shake to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for approximately 1 minute until sauce thickens slightly.
06 -
Turn chicken pieces to coat fully with the sauce. If the sauce thickens excessively, add a small amount of water and stir to loosen consistency.
07 -
Remove skillet from heat. Plate the chicken and drizzle with remaining sauce from the pan.
