Korean Spinach Side Dish (Print-Friendly Version)

Quick Korean spinach salad with sesame, garlic, and green onion. Fresh, vibrant flavors ready in 5 minutes.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 bunch (10 ounces) spinach, ends trimmed
02 - 1 stalk green onion, finely chopped

→ Seasoning and Aromatics

03 - 1 clove garlic, finely minced
04 - 2 teaspoons soy sauce
05 - 1/8 teaspoon salt
06 - 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
07 - 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds

# How to Make It:

01 - Lay the spinach on a cutting board, trim the ends, and slice into approximately 2-inch pieces.
02 - In a medium pot, bring water with a pinch of salt to a rolling boil. Add the spinach and blanch for 30 seconds, or until just wilted.
03 - Transfer spinach immediately to an ice bath to halt cooking. Once cooled, gently squeeze out excess water from the spinach.
04 - Place the spinach in a mixing bowl. Add minced garlic, chopped green onion, soy sauce, salt, toasted sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Mix thoroughly until spinach is evenly coated.
05 - Transfer seasoned spinach to a serving dish and enjoy alongside your main meal.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Rapidly cooling the spinach after blanching helps maintain its vibrant color and prevents overcooking.
