Bring 2 cups of water and 1/2 teaspoon salt to a boil in a large saucepan. Add broccoli florets and cook for 2 to 4 minutes until just tender.

Drain the water from the pan and transfer broccoli to a bowl. Set aside.

In the same saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until aromatic.

Return broccoli to the pan. Toss thoroughly to coat the florets with the garlic-infused butter.

Sprinkle grated Parmesan over the broccoli and toss again. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot as an accompaniment to your main course.
