14 - 4 slices crusty bread
15 - 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
16 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

# How to Make It:

01 - Cook bacon in a large pot until crispy, then remove with a slotted spoon. Sear beef slices in the remaining bacon fat until browned, then remove and set aside.
02 - In the same pot, sauté the diced peppers, onion, and minced garlic until softened, about 5 minutes.
03 - Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir to coat. Gradually pour in beef broth while stirring. Add Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
04 - Stir in the heavy cream, then return the bacon and beef to the pot. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes until heated through and slightly thickened.
05 - Spread softened butter on bread slices, top with shredded cheese, and broil until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve alongside or floating on top of the soup.

# Handy Tips:

01 - Can use ground beef for quicker cooking
02 - Add mushrooms or jalapeños if desired
03 - Can thicken with cornstarch slurry if preferred
