Sweet and Sour Meatballs (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 2 pounds ground beef (90% lean)
02 - 2 eggs
03 - 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
04 - 1/4 cup finely diced onion
05 - 1 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/2 teaspoon pepper
07 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 12 ounce bottle chili sauce
09 - 1 1/2 cups grape jelly
10 - 2 tablespoons parsley
11 - cooking spray

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the broiler. Line a sheet pan with foil and coat the foil with cooking spray.
02 - Place the ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder in a large bowl. Stir until thoroughly combined.
03 - Shape the meat mixture into 1 inch meatballs and place them on the prepared pan.
04 - Broil for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
05 - While the meatballs are cooking, melt the grape jelly by microwaving it for 30 second increments or melting it in a saucepan over medium heat.
06 - After the jelly has melted, whisk in the chili sauce until well combined.
07 - Coat a slow cooker with cooking spray. Add the meatballs, then pour the sauce over the top. Toss to coat.
08 - Cook for 3 hours on low. Sprinkle with parsley, then serve.

# Handy Tips:

01 - You can make your meatballs as big or as small as you like. I typically go for meatballs that are about 1 inch in diameter.
02 - I typically make these meatballs with 90% lean ground beef, as it is flavorful but not overly greasy.
