03 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

→ Vegetables & Canned Goods

04 - 1/2 medium onion, chopped
05 - 3 cloves garlic, minced

10 - 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
11 - Salt & pepper to taste

12 - 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and position the rack in the top third of the oven.
02 - In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and onions until beef is browned and onions have softened, about 7-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
03 - Add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
04 - Reduce heat to medium and stir in sour cream, condensed mushroom soup, corn, and 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese. Mix well and heat through for 1-2 minutes.
05 - Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 baking dish and spread in an even layer. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, then arrange tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
06 - Bake uncovered for 45 minutes, or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy and the cheese is hot and bubbly.
07 - Garnish with chopped scallions if desired and season with additional salt and pepper to taste before serving.

# Handy Tips:

01 - Tater tot package sizes vary, so anything around 32 oz (900g) will work.
02 - Choose low-sodium ingredients where possible as this dish can be quite salty.
03 - For a one-pan meal, prepare the entire casserole in a large oven-safe skillet instead of transferring to a baking dish.
