Honey Garlic Chicken (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Chicken Base

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
02 - ¼ teaspoon salt
03 - ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
04 - ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
05 - ¼ cup (30g) all-purpose flour
06 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

→ Honey Garlic Sauce

07 - ⅓ cup (80ml) honey
08 - 3 tablespoons soy sauce
09 - 2 tablespoons rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
10 - 4 cloves garlic, minced

→ Garnish

11 - Sesame seeds
12 - Sliced green onions

# How to Make It:

01 - Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place flour in a shallow dish for dredging.
02 - In a small mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and minced garlic until well combined.
03 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Coat chicken in flour and place directly into hot skillet. Cook undisturbed until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Flip and brown the other side for approximately 5 minutes.
04 - Pour sauce into skillet and gently shake to distribute throughout the pan. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 3 minutes. Flip chicken, coating pieces in sauce. Continue cooking for 3-4 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and sauce has thickened. Add a splash of water if sauce becomes too thick.
05 - Transfer chicken to serving plates, spooning additional sauce over top. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

# Handy Tips:

01 - If using previously frozen chicken breasts, ensure they are fully thawed and patted dry with paper towels to help flour adhere properly.
02 - For spicy variation, add sriracha or red pepper flakes to the sauce.
03 - For even cooking, ensure chicken breasts are uniform in thickness.
04 - For thinner cutlets, slice large chicken breasts in half lengthwise.
05 - Use a large skillet to prevent overcrowding, which ensures proper searing rather than steaming.
